When is an ultrasound needed?
- Symptoms of impaired function of internal organs (pancreas, spleen, liver, gallbladder)

How to prepare for an ultrasound?
Most ultrasound examinations do not require special preparation
Ultrasound of the reproductive organs is performed with a full bladder, so it is necessary to drink 1-1.5 liters of fluid within 2-2.5 hours;
1-2 days before an ultrasound of the abdominal organs, follow a dietary regimen: avoid foods that promote increased gas formation: legumes, raw fruits and vegetables, sweets, flour products, carbonated drinks, alcohol.
The examination is performed on an empty stomach.
Before a transrectal ultrasound of the prostate, it is necessary to cleanse the intestines and fill the bladder.
Be sure to inform your doctor if you have recently had an endoscopy of the intestines or stomach.
